This Tidal Wave Transformation features our very own kickass grandma : Stella Varela. For those of you members of the gym, Stella is no stranger. With her super friendly attitude and willingness to take on any challenge she is truly an example of what you can do if you don’t listen to the naysayers!
So, what brought you to CrossFit Tidal Wave?I was looking for a place where I could get results to improve my health, lose weight and get physically fit. After going to several different gyms on the Island I was told about CrossFit TidalWave. After I attended my two free classes I knew if I made a committment to come I would see the results I wanted. How long have you been CrossFitting? I have been Crossfitting since April 1st., 2013. I attend 4 days a week.

My goals were to lose weight to improve my health and to get physically fit! Do you have fitness results you would like to mention? Since attending Tidal Wave, I have close to 50 pounds and have dropped from size 16 to size 8. My health has improved as a diabetic! As of my doctors report I am just about diabetes free and will be taken off my medication on my next visit. I have lowered my blood pressure so that my medication was reduced by 80 milligrams ! My strength and endurance have both increased since attending CrossFit Tidal Wave of Galveston. My doctor was amazed by my results and told me to keep up the good work.
