It has been all the rage in recent weeks to release articles about the “dangers” of CrossFit (Rhabdo, etc) or opinion pieces stating why CrossFit will make your internal organs burst into flame. The proliferation of “CrossFit will KILL YOU !” articles recently has been boiled down to being nothing more than REALLY good for the website that posts them (it drives tons of internet traffic to the sites = Tons of AD revenue). While I could go over the topic until I have a Scanner moment I will just go ahead and post some links to the articles that already cover it: http://breakingmuscle.com/health-medicine/a-scientific-look-at-rhabdo-and-why-its-not-exclusive-to-crossfit http://www.sweetlifeericka.com/2013/09/crossfit-doesnt-have-dirty-little.html https://medium.com/i-m-h-o/6d606a0b7d31 What I am going to address in this entry is the common reservations I have collected from people that have either done one class and never came back or people afraid to walk through the door. 1. “There is not enough lifting/cardio”- It is a common criticism that the program receives when someone comes in for a free trial class. They are basing the entire program on a single snap shot of a day of programming. I have had exactly the same amount of people say there is not enough lifting as have said their is not enough cardio. This is one of the reasons we give two free visits.
